Power HR Round Table
 
 
Indian Economy is targeted to grow at 8 %. Energy sector along with water and gas sector will have to grow at the same rate to realize the envisaged growth of the economy. Ministry of power government of India has set “mission 2012- power for all”.

Ambitious plan of “power for all” is challenged by losses in power transmission, very high distribution losses, equipment shortage, coal shortage, difficult environment clearances, restricted gas supply, delay in investment, lack of employable workforce, lack of training infrastructure, low industry attractiveness and the list goes on with problems still emerging for high growth sector of power .

A need was hence felt to create a platform for power sector organizations to deliberate and create a way forward. Indian School of Petroleum and Energy (ISPe) organized the first Power Sector Human Resource Round Table for HR professionals across the power sector.

The round table was partnered academically by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. Hay Group India was the knowledge partner. The one day Round table discussed the topic, “HR - A Key Driver to the Growth & Sustainability of Power Sector”.



Format

A one day event has a program director, which either is a practicing HR professional from the industry or has worked in the HR function. HR Heads along with their teams from the top Power sector companies are invited to speak at the conference on the theme chosen for that year. List of attendees include HR heads and professionals from the sector and allied service organizations.
